Land Lease Negotiation and Third-Party Bids

The Department of Natural Resources is initiating negotiations for an expiring land lease and is opening the opportunity for third-party bids. The lease in question is for a parcel located in part of Section 16, Township 7.0, Range 22.0E. The current lease expires on August 31, 2026. Interested parties must submit a written request to lease by April 27, 2026. This request must include a certified check or money order payable to the Department of Natural Resources for the bonus bid amount, along with a $100 deposit. Envelopes must be marked "Sealed Bid" and include the lease number, the expiration date of the lease being applied for, and the applicant's name. Successful bidders will be required to purchase any improvements belonging to the current lessee.
