This solicitation is for the supply of tailpiece assemblies for a 10-inch ball valve, in accordance with Naval Ship Systems Command Drawing 803-4385051, part number 803-4385051-X-072. The material required is ASTM-B369, alloy UNS C96400. Key requirements include various tests such as non-destructive tests, weldability tests, hydrostatic tests, and dye penetrant inspection. Radiography is also required for the tailpiece. The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured), necessitating strict control procedures to ensure the receipt of correct material. The contract requires adherence to quality system standards like ISO-9001 or MIL-I-45208, with a focus on traceability and certification of all materials and processes. This requirement necessitates an offeror to possess a U.S. Security Clearance of CONFIDENTIAL or higher due to classified information associated with the solicitation.
