Queensborough Community College Gymnasium Locker Room Renovation and Asbestos Abatement

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) is seeking a prime contractor for construction services to renovate the gymnasium locker rooms, showers, and associated spaces within the Robert F. Kennedy Hall at Queensborough Community College in Bayside, Queens, New York. The project scope includes general construction, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and hazardous materials abatement. Work will be performed in an occupied building, requiring careful scheduling and coordination of all trades. The estimated base construction cost is between $8,000,000.00 and $11,500,000.00. A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) will be required for the successful bidder. Firms will be selected based on a review and evaluation of qualification packages. Finalized construction documents will be distributed to qualified contractors invited to bid. Anticipated goals include 45% for Minority & Women Workforce, 18% for Minority Business Enterprise, 12% for Women's Business Enterprise, and 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses.
