Modoc County Road Department is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of aggregate base material for five separate contracts: #26-007, #26-008, #26-009, #26-010, and #26-011. These contracts cover different types and quantities of aggregate base, including 3/4" Class 3 Aggregate Base for on-site delivery to the Alturas Maintenance District (County Road 60) and Newell Maintenance District yard, and for stockpile delivery to the Newell Maintenance District yard. Additionally, 3/4" Class 2 Aggregate Base is required for on-site delivery to the Alturas Maintenance District (County Road 66), stockpile delivery to the Lookout Maintenance District yard and various county roads (86, 90, 93, 146, 149, and 198a), and 1-1/2" Class 2 Aggregate Base is needed for on-site delivery to the Davis Creek Maintenance District (County Road 9). All material must conform to CalTrans standard specifications for Class 2 or Class 3 Aggregate Base, ensuring it is free of organic matter and deleterious substances, and contains no reclaimed materials. Vendors are responsible for coordinating delivery with the Road Department Superintendent. Delivery is expected anytime after contract approval, with working days typically Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts, though overtime and weekend work may be necessary. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "Aggregate Base 2026" to the Modoc County Road Department by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2025. The awarded bids will be based on the lowest delivered price per ton, with unit prices valid until December 31, 2026.
