Memorial Hall Auditorium Ceiling Renovation

This project involves the renovation of the historic plaster cove ceiling and plaster walls within the Memorial Hall Auditorium at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The scope of work includes repairs for water damage, replacement of rusted or deteriorated lath, cleaning of the backside of the plaster ceiling, repair and re-tensioning of suspension wires, and painting. Specific attention will be paid to protecting historic chandeliers and other interior elements during the renovation process. The project requires scaffolding, potential hazardous material testing (lead), and coordination with the design team and university facilities. The bid submission deadline is February 26, 2026.
