Structural Steel Flooring System Fabrication and Installation

This solicitation is for the design, materials, fabrication, installation, and testing of a new structural steel flooring system in Building 35 at the Watervliet Arsenal. The new system must be capable of supporting equipment weighing upwards of 18,000 pounds and will replace an existing 280 square foot plating. Diamond plate is preferred for the flooring material. The project falls within the $25,000 to $100,000 magnitude and has a 90-day period of performance from the Notice to Proceed. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price award and is set-aside for small businesses. Wage Determination General Decision Number: NY2 applies. All work must comply with relevant industry standards, including those from the International Building Code (IBC), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Welding Society (AWS), ASTM International, and the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). The installation area is a permit-required confined space, and all personnel must be confined space certified. The flooring system will require a primer basecoat and a flat grey topcoat.
