Foothills Higher Education Center HVAC Replacement

Burke County is soliciting bids for the replacement of three Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems at the Foothills Higher Education Center. The project scope includes replacing (3) three VRF outdoor heat pumps, (33) indoor air handlers, and (4) indoor branch controllers. All new equipment will integrate with a newly replaced Mitsubishi controller, and existing refrigerant piping will be reused. Sealed bids will be accepted until Monday, June 1, 2026, by 12:00 PM. Bids can be delivered or mailed to the Burke County Finance Office at PO Box 219, Morganton, NC 28655, or to 200 Avery Avenue, Morganton, NC 28655. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10 AM onsite to survey the Mechanical Room.
