Pharmaceutical Supplies and Services for Alameda County

Alameda County is seeking a contractor to provide pharmaceutical supplies and services for clients who face cost barriers to obtaining prescribed medications. The contract will be for three years with an option to renew for two additional years. The contractor will be responsible for dispensing, packaging (including unit dosing upon request), and delivering medications for communicable disease cases, suspects, and their contacts. This includes ensuring timely availability of first-line TB medications and procuring second-line TB medications within one working day. Courier services will be provided twice weekly, with on-demand delivery to various locations within Alameda County, and emergency prescription fulfillment is required 24/7. The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and California State Board of Pharmacy requirements. Reimbursement will be based on the lowest cost of generic medication available or Medi-Cal maximum AWP.
