Description

This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is for two (2) Air Force Compressed Gas Trailers, with one option period. The trailers are intended for use in supplying high volumes of various compressed gases for hypersonic, combustion, and research testing. They must be capable of handling oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, compressed natural gas (CNG), methane, air, and helium. The trailers must have a minimum water volume of 492 cubic feet and a service pressure of at least 2500 psi per cylinder, with a maximum overall length of 32 feet. The design must promote cost-effective, life-cycle sustainability and withstand the strains of shipping, storage, installation, and service. Specific requirements include weatherproof construction, durable protective coatings, a semi-gloss green exterior finish, and robust sealing to prevent water intrusion. Markings, identification plates, and transportation data plates must comply with relevant military standards. The trailers must also meet stringent environmental, safety, and occupational health standards, including fire extinguisher provisions and noise level compatibility. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance and human-system integration for ease of operation and maintenance are also critical.
