Description

The Norfolk Naval Shipyard is seeking a rebuilt Monarch Model 612 Series 2516x48" CD engine lathe. The lathe must meet specific OEM remanufactured standards, including disassembly, inspection, and replacement of worn components to restore original specifications for metal removal rate, production accuracy, lifecycle, and functionality. Key requirements include a 25" swing over bed, 48" between centers, a 2.125" spindle bore, a 20HP motor, and a new two-axis digital readout. The machine will be warranted for 12 months after installation, and the contractor must demonstrate the capability to service the equipment beyond the warranty period. Documentation, workholding, tooling, and installation services are also required. The solicitation is being conducted under "Other Than Full and Open Competition."
