This solicitation is for window repairs at Building 1790 (Hangar) at the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point in Kapolei, Hawaii. The scope of work includes removing and replacing exterior caulking and sealants on the ocean-facing windows between the metal frame and the building, as well as between the frame and the glazing. Materials must meet current codes and industry standards for exterior work. If paint coating is required for spot repairs, a primer and elastomeric coating that matches existing colors and sheen must be applied, compatible with existing surfaces. The contractor must adhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain an adequate inspection system. All materials must be approved by the COR and the Government. Demolition and construction work must be done in an orderly manner, protecting existing work and using appropriate materials for patching. The total on-site work is limited to 45 calendar days, and work is to be performed between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise approved. The contractor must be enrolled in the Omnivep program and provide a list of all on-site personnel prior to work commencement.
