Aircraft Engine Cores and Associated Equipment

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is seeking to procure core engines, Engine Build Up (EBU) kits, Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits, and associated equipment for P-8A, C-40, and E-7A aircraft. Specifically, the requirement includes twenty-eight (28) P-8A CFM56-7B27AE core engines and associated equipment, one (1) C-40 CFM56-7B24E core engine and associated equipment, and seventeen (17) E-7A CFM56-7B27AE-1 core engines and associated equipment. Additionally, the procurement covers thirty-one (31) P-8A Aircraft QEC Kits and EBU Kits, two (2) C-40 QEC Kits, and seventeen (17) E-7A QEC Kits and EBU Kits. These items are considered commercial items. The government intends to negotiate with the original equipment manufacturer on a sole source basis. This notice also serves as a Sources Sought to determine if other qualified contractors are capable of performing this requirement, gathering information for planning purposes and to understand vendor interest and potential roadblocks.
