The City of Atlanta is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair services for its fleet of emergency medical vehicles and equipment. Additionally, this opportunity includes the upfit and delivery of a KKK-1822-F compliant ambulance with enhanced safety features, integrated systems, and durable, bio-safe interior components, built on a Transit T250 mid-roof chassis. Services will be performed at the contractor's facility, with the City arranging for pick-up and delivery. The contractor will be responsible for the security of any vehicles or equipment in their custody. Experienced Emergency Vehicle Technicians with a minimum of three years of experience are preferred, and factory-authorized technicians are highly desirable. A blanket purchase order for one hour of diagnosis will be issued, with written estimates required within one business day of diagnosis. Additional repairs or parts requiring an increase in cost must be approved promptly. Preventative maintenance inspections will be conducted bi-annually, meeting NFPA 1911 standards, including brake inspections. The contractor must be available during business hours and provide 24/7 on-call service availability for critical repairs, with 24/7 access for vehicle drop-offs. Non-critical issues must be diagnosed within two business days, and critical repairs within one business day. All work must conform to applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards. Optional services include a Train-the-Trainer program for ambulance maintenance and repair techniques.
