Roadside Right-of-Way Vegetation Management

Wagoner County, Oklahoma is soliciting sealed bids for integrated vegetation management services for its county road rights-of-way. The contract will be for a period of one year, coinciding with Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The vendor will be responsible for herbicide application, including broadleaf weed control, invasive species suppression, Bermuda/fescue growth regulation, and chemical pruning of brush and trees under 3 inches in diameter. Services are to be performed on a cost-per-road-mile basis, with applications to both sides of the road. The vendor must possess the necessary licensing, personnel, equipment, technology, and experience to perform these services in compliance with Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry regulations and EPA labeling requirements. The vendor is also responsible for obtaining current no-spray zone information from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry (ODAFF) reporting system prior to application activities and demonstrating the capability to identify and exclude all designated no-spray zones. If aerial application is used, the vendor must possess FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and FAA Part 137 Agricultural Aircraft Operator certificate. The vendor will provide semi-annual vegetation reports, including condition assessments and planned services, along with application logs. The county will supply the total miles included under the agreement and any county-specified no-spray areas.
