Ball State University Public Works Project: New Band Tower - LaFollette Field

Ball State University is soliciting bids for a public works project to install a new, prefabricated permanent band tower at LaFollette Field. The scope of work includes providing all necessary equipment, labor, and materials for the installation. Bids are due by 11:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, and will be opened and read aloud at that time. Bid documents, including the project manual, drawings, and specifications, are available electronically from Ball State University's Purchasing Services. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM EDT at the Service & Stores building. Bidders must use the Contractors Bid For Public Works Form 96 and provide recent financial data. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond for at least 5 percent of the total bid price. The successful contractor will be required to furnish a surety bond for the full contract amount. The contract will be awarded in accordance with Indiana state law (IC 5-16-13), including requirements for training programs, document preservation, and worker misclassification procedures. Contractors must also comply with prequalification requirements by the Indiana Department of Administration and enroll in the E-Verify Program. Ball State University reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and return unopened bids received after the deadline.
