Description

The Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources is offering the Leading by Example Solar-Decarbonization Grant Program to eligible state entities. This program provides financial support to state entities in meeting Executive Order 594 targets and objectives related to onsite renewable generation and decarbonization, including strategic electrification of buildings and elimination of onsite fossil fuel consumption. The program focuses on the preemptive avoidance of in-kind replacement of fossil-fuel-based systems and equipment by providing funding to deploy efficient electrified solutions, including renewable thermal technologies, efficient electric water heating, battery-powered facilities maintenance, and electric commercial kitchen equipment. An amount not to exceed $25,000,000 in grant funding is available through this Program. Applications will be reviewed, and awards granted on a rolling basis, subject to available funding, through June 30, 2027.
