New Fire Engine Pumper for the Town of New Gloucester

The Town of New Gloucester is requesting proposals for the purchase of a new fire engine pumper. This new engine will replace the current Engine 3, a 2004 Pierce 1250 gpm/1000 gallon engine. The purchase is pending approval at the Annual Town Meeting on May 4, 2026, with a final vote on June 9, 2026. Proposals must be valid for 45 days and include an estimated date of completion. Any deviations from the Town's specifications and general requirements must be identified with alternatives outlined. Specifications can be obtained at the Town Office, via email to smyers@newgloucester.com, or by calling (207) 926-4126 ext. 257. The Town will consider a down payment that results in an overall discount. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Fire Engine Pumper RFP Bids" to Attn: William P. Doyle, Town Manager, Town of New Gloucester, 385 Intervale Road, New Gloucester, ME 04260, by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. Bids will be opened and read at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road, New Gloucester, Maine. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
