Invitation to Bid: Lake Tree & Brush Removal

The City of Decatur is soliciting sealed bids for tree and brush removal services around Lake Decatur. Bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on June 2, 2026, at the City of Decatur Purchasing & Internal Services Division, #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois, 62523. All bids must be marked with "SEALED BID FOR LAKE TREE & BRUSH REMOVAL PUR2026-02". Specifications and proposal forms can be obtained from the Purchasing office or at www.decaturil.gov. This contract includes minority participation goals: 10% of the total contract amount for minority business enterprises (MBEs) for subcontracting opportunities or for the purchase of goods/materials/equipment, and 18% of total hours worked by minority workers. Contractors must provide evidence of meeting these goals or demonstrate good faith efforts. The City Council reserves the right to accept, reject, or renegotiate any or all proposals, and to award the contract in the best public interest. The contract, if awarded, will be for a period of one year from the date of issuance of a notice to proceed or executed contract, whichever is later, with prices protected against increase during the contract period or any extension period.
