Public Input for Utah's 2025 Justice Assistance Grant

The Utah Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice (CCJJ) is soliciting public comments regarding its proposed use of the 2025 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) award, totaling $1,888,705. This formula grant, administered by the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ), is intended to provide resources for criminal justice projects across Utah. The current plan focuses on supporting rural law enforcement agencies and criminal justice services statewide. The CCJJ will submit the final JAG proposal to the USDOJ in April 2026. Public comments received by May 8, 2026, will be considered, and any changes resulting from public input will require amendment approval for the 2025 JAG grant. Comments submitted after the deadline will also be accepted.
