Description

The Louisiana State University AgCenter is soliciting applications for grants to support education, outreach, and technical assistance for beginning farmers and ranchers. This program aims to help new farmers and ranchers enter, establish, build, and manage successful farm and ranch enterprises. The grants will focus on areas such as basic farming practices, succession planning, entrepreneurship, financial and risk management, natural resource management, diversification and marketing strategies, curriculum development, mentoring, and farm safety. Specific funding is allocated for limited resource beginning farmers and ranchers, farmworkers, and veteran farmers and ranchers.
