On-Call Marine Structures Rehabilitation
Department of General Services
The City of Oakland, acting by and through its Board of Port Commissioners, is soliciting bids for on-call marine structures rehabilitation services. The scope of work includes selective removal of unsound concrete, preparation of exposed surfaces and reinforcement, and placement of new concrete using shotcrete or form-and-pump methods. Specific repairs may include full deck replacement or overlay, installation of anodes, concrete bull rails, scuppers, utility support brackets, pile repair, rock slope replacement, deck joint seals, sheet pile repair, and bollard repair/replacement. The Port intends to award contracts to up to three contractors, with an estimated total annual cost of $2,000,000 for all awarded contracts. The not-to-exceed amount for the entire contract term will be determined at the time of award. A California Class A contractor's license is required prior to award, and joint ventures must secure a joint venture license. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR and requires valid Certificates of Reported Compliance (CRC) from contractors and subcontractors due to California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations.
