Gadsden Independent School District (GISD) is soliciting proposals for armed security guard services to be provided at its campuses across Dona Ana and Otero, NM jurisdictions. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing licensed, trained, professional, and uniformed security guard personnel equipped with firearms and identifiable patrol vehicles. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, reviewing emergency plans, coordinating duties with school administration, investigating alarms, and establishing professional rapport with students and staff. Personnel must be at least 21 years of age, adequately bonded, and possess required insurance. Thorough background checks, including fingerprinting, are mandatory for all personnel assigned to the district, especially those with direct contact with students. The contractor must also maintain a "Drug & Tobacco Free" policy and demonstrate at least three years of experience in providing similar services. The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option for three additional one-year extensions, not to exceed a total of four years. This procurement will result in a single award and may be utilized by other State of New Mexico agencies and local public bodies.
