Telecommunications and Cell Tower Consulting Services

Midlothian Independent School District (MISD) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify firms capable of providing Telecommunications and Cell Tower Consulting Services. The selected firm will be responsible for identifying suitable MISD sites for telecommunications facilities, negotiating and managing third-party licenses (sub-licenses) for the use of these facilities, and overseeing the construction of the telecommunications facilities. The firm must demonstrate expertise in real estate, financial stability, site development, and project management related to telecommunications facilities on government-owned property. Compensation for the successful firm will be solely derived from payments negotiated and received from third parties for the use of the constructed and/or managed telecommunications facilities on MISD property. Payment is contingent upon the successful negotiation of new tower leases, completion of design, approval of zoning, pulling of building permits, and commencement of the lease resulting in rental income for MISD. All proposals are subject to MISD Board approval.
