The City of Tucson is soliciting proposals for custodial and floor maintenance services on an as-needed basis. The objective is to create a Qualified Vendor List (QVL) from which city departments can solicit general custodial services and specialized floor care. Some facilities may require maintenance in accordance with LEED standards. The services will be utilized by various city departments, including Transportation and Mobility (DTM), Housing and Community Development (HCD), Environmental Services (ES), General Services (GSD), and Parks and Recreation. The contract will cover a wide range of city-owned facilities, with specific scopes of work detailed for each, including daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and annual cleaning tasks. Floor maintenance will include carpet cleaning and hard floor refinishing. Contractors are expected to have a strong local presence and sufficient resources to meet the city's needs. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding will be used for certain HCD projects, requiring compliance with HUD, federal, state, and local regulations, including specific HUD forms and wage determinations. The contract structure allows for multiple awards across different groups of services, including city buildings, garage maintenance, and HCD residential properties.
