Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Los Angeles District is evaluating community interest in establishing a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for the Sahuarita Air Force Range Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) in Pima County, Arizona. This site was used for military training from 1942 to 1958, and USACE is investigating potential hazards such as unexploded ordnance. RABs serve as a collaborative forum for community members, landowners, and government agencies to discuss environmental restoration efforts. The Department of War encourages public participation in this process. Interested parties are invited to provide comments on the establishment of a RAB by May 27, 2026.
