Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a 689 nm Laser System. This system is intended for experiments on chip-scale atomic wavelength references, specifically for precision spectroscopy of a strontium atomic transition at 689.44 nm. Key specifications include a tuning range of at least +/- 1.5 nm, output power greater than 75 mW, a mode-hop-free tuning range greater than 20 GHz, instantaneous linewidth less than 10 kHz, and frequency stability less than 100 MHz/K. A dual-stage optical isolator with greater than 60 dB isolation and greater than 75% transmission is also required. NIST is seeking quotations from responsible sources, with a NAICS code of 334516 and a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The delivery is expected within 26 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO).
