Newfield Boat Ramp Construction and Repair

The City of Bridgeport is soliciting bids for the Newfield Boat Ramp Construction and Repair project. This project involves the complete demolition of the existing deteriorated asphalt ramp and associated structures, including timber docks, guide piles, concrete barriers, and retaining walls. Following demolition, a new 41' x 88' boat ramp will be constructed and installed. The reconstruction includes grading, installing a concrete headwall, driving sheet pile walls, placing pre-cast concrete planks and curbing, installing stone revetment, and a scour pad at the base of the ramp. The project also includes the installation of five floating docks supported by timber piles, attached via a transition plate to an existing concrete landing. Bidders must be licensed in Connecticut, and all employees must be properly certified. The project requires adherence to Connecticut Department of Labor prevailing wage rates. Submissions must be made electronically through the OpenGov Procurement portal, with a deadline of Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Questions regarding the bid are due by Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
