Description

Ames Laboratory, under a prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), requires concrete construction services for sidewalk repair. The project involves the removal, disposal, and replacement of approximately 2,000 sq ft of concrete in front of the Technical and Administrative Facility (TASF) as the base bid, and an additional 1,000 sq ft in front of the Metals Development (MD) building as an alternate bid. Preparation work includes limited subgrade preparation, salvaging existing accessories, and concrete placement with a 4000-psi air-entrained, fiber-reinforced concrete. All work must adhere to safety requirements outlined in the Subcontractor Safety Analysis Packet (SSAP) and relevant federal regulations, including 10 CFR 851 for Worker Safety and Health. The substantial completion date is no later than August 31, 2026.
