The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is seeking proposals for Design-Build Services for the Safe Routes to Transit program. This program aims to identify and address barriers to safe access to bus stops through various pedestrian and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements. The scope of work includes project management, survey, design services from 30% to final design, permitting, and construction. The project will involve improvements at up to 240 sites over a three-year timeframe, focusing on areas that need enhanced pedestrian infrastructure. Key activities will involve the design and construction of sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, curb extensions, medians, refuge islands, and the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHBs). The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, from initial design to final completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
