Potable Water Tank Rehabilitation Project

Calhoun Water Association is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation and repainting of two elevated water storage tanks: the Indian Springs Tank with a 75,000-gallon capacity and the Service Road Tank with a 200,000-gallon capacity. The scope of work includes exterior and interior sandblasting and repainting, sand containment, replacement of vent pipes and manways, installation of safety cable systems for ladders, a lockable ladder guard, and extending the overflow pipe to ground level with a screen, lid, and splashpad. Miscellaneous metal repairs using epoxy and welding are also included. Bidding documents can be obtained from www.engserviceplans.com. Printed copies are available for a non-refundable deposit from Engineering Service at 115 Aero Smith Drive, Richland, MS 39218. Prospective bidders can examine the documents at the Issuing Office Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon. This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), requiring that all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials be produced in the United States, absent an approved waiver.
