Hydrofluorosilicic Acid Supply and Delivery

The City of Providence, Rhode Island, through its Board of Contract and Supply, is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of hydrofluorosilicic acid. The contract will have an initial term expiring June 30, 2027, with two one-year option periods. Bidders must meet specific chemical and physical property standards, including NSF certification, and provide a complete analysis of contaminants with their bid. Deliveries are to be made in approximately 4,000-gallon tank trucks to Providence Water's Water Purification Plant located at 61 North Road, Hope, RI 02831. Shipments must be sealed at the point of loading and unsealed upon arrival. Bidders are required to submit a spill response plan with their bid. The estimated annual delivery is 50,000 gallons, with no minimum or maximum yearly purchase obligation. Pricing should be provided per gallon for a 23% acid concentration, and the contract allows for price adjustments based on supporting documentation. Bids must be submitted by 2:15 PM on May 4, 2026, to the Department of the City Clerk at City Hall, 25 Dorrance Street, Providence, RI.
