Description

The MacDill 6th Communication Squadron requires the replacement of the existing power generation system for the Hemp Shelter (Bldg. 578). The current system, consisting of two 30kw microturbines, will be removed along with associated equipment. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment to install one new 60kw Caterpillar diesel generator (Model D60 GC), a new 200-amp automatic transfer switch, and a new 408-gallon diesel fuel tank. The scope includes providing all necessary engineering, drawings, permits, and managing inspections. The project also includes a 4-hour on-site load test and a 2-year extended service coverage for the generator and a 2-year limited warranty for the transfer switch. Preventive maintenance services are also required every six months for fluid and filter changes, and annually for major inspections.
