Railroad Right-of-Way Monthly Inspection and Maintenance Services

The City of San Gabriel is soliciting proposals for monthly inspection and maintenance services for the San Gabriel Rail Trench. This service includes the maintenance of structures, drainage systems, lighting, fencing, and other non-rail elements within the trench. The selected contractor will be responsible for conducting scheduled monthly inspections and performing monthly maintenance activities. This includes tasks such as flagging, drainage repairs, lighting system maintenance, graffiti abatement, vegetation control, herbicide application, and clean-up of debris and trash. The contractor must provide three fully qualified, Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) trained personnel for these activities. Key requirements include adherence to the Operation & Maintenance Plan, coordination with Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), and compliance with all insurance and safety regulations. The contract term is for two years with an option to renew for three additional one-year periods.
