Engineering Services for Texas Department of Agriculture Colonia Fund Construction

Nueces County is requesting qualifications from licensed professional engineers or engineering firms to provide services for infrastructure improvements within designated colonia areas. These services will support projects funded through the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) Colonia Fund Construction (CFC) Program, administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). The scope of work includes preliminary engineering reports for TxCDBG applications and, contingent upon funding, design engineering services for project implementation, including detailed plans, specifications, and bidding documents. The selected firm will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and TxCDBG program requirements. Qualifications will be evaluated, and the most qualified respondent will be selected, subject to negotiation of fair and reasonable compensation. The project involves various infrastructure improvements such as water line replacement, fire hydrant installation, culvert replacement, and ditch regrading.
