V-Blade Tree Planting Services

The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) requires bids for V-blade planting of containerized longleaf pine seedlings on approximately 371 acres. This reforestation effort aims to protect floodplains and associated habitats across four tracts: Withlacoochee Quail Farm, Holton Creek, Mattair Springs, and Woods Ferry. The planting is scheduled for the winter of 2026-2027, with work to be completed and invoiced by February 28, 2027. Seedlings will be picked up by the contractor from Andrews Nursery in Chiefland, FL. The scope of work includes specific requirements for equipment, planting techniques, seedling handling, and site preparation to ensure proper reforestation according to District Land Management Plan objectives.
