]agricultural genome to phenome initiative - workshop grants
The National Institute of Food and Agriculture's Agricultural Genome to Phenome Initiative (AG2PI) is soliciting grant applications to advance the understanding of agriculturally significant crops and animals. The initiative aims to fill knowledge gaps in genetics and phenomics, identify and understand the function of relevant genes, and enhance genetics for improved agricultural production. This includes studying the relevance of different germplasm and enhancing genetics to reduce the economic impact of pathogens on crops and animals. Findings will be disseminated to relevant audiences. Eligibility is broad, including state agricultural experiment stations, colleges and universities, university research foundations, other research institutions and organizations, federal agencies, national laboratories, private organizations, foundations, corporations, individuals, or any group of two or more of these entities. Consortiums are encouraged to apply. This is a discretionary grant opportunity with an estimated total program funding of $50,000, an award floor of $20,000, and an award ceiling of $50,000. Cost sharing is required.
