Description

This solicitation seeks a contractor to remove existing bowling equipment and install eight (8) new bowling ball returns and masking units to cover all sixteen (16) lanes at the Shaw Air Force Base bowling center. The core requirement of the project is to ensure these new ball returns and masking units are fully operational and seamlessly compatible with the facility's existing control boxes. The installation will utilize existing electrical connections from the circuit breaker box to the ball returns and masking units, ensuring full operational status upon completion. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services for the installation. Specific requirements for the ball returns include a capacity for 12 balls with an 8-ball lower rack, alternating left/right distribution, a high-speed blower, a hand intrusion safety device, motors secured under the hood, energy efficiency features, and a reset button with a spare parts kit. Masking units must cover all 16 lanes, clearly indicate lane numbers, use an industrial "hook and loop" attachment method for graphics, be customizable, and be manually adjustable by one person. They must include upper and lower tier panels covering two lanes each, with a frame measuring 89' x 114" and LED lights to register the first and second ball. The contractor must also provide a one-year warranty and lifetime technical support, remove and dispose of all debris off base, and shut down only one lane at a time during installation. All work must comply with Federal, State, and Base Safety regulations, and non-emergency work is to be accomplished during normal duty hours (0730-1630, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). The contractor is responsible for safeguarding all government property and controlled forms, implementing local base procedures for entry to controlled/restricted areas, and managing key control. Contractor employees will be subject to criminal background checks for base access.
