Scott County, Iowa is seeking sealed bids for the replacement of the existing boiler equipment that services the County Jail. This project involves the removal and replacement of the current boiler system. Bidding documents, including the proposal form, drawings, and specifications, are available for download. Prospective bidders are required to register as an online vendor with PublicPurchase at www.publicpurchase.com. While registration is free, PublicPurchase offers various membership levels, and vendors may choose to subscribe to a plan that incurs a cost. Bidding documents can also be obtained from American Reprographics Company, with a refundable deposit for hard copies. All print deliveries will be through UPS Ground, and refunds are provided upon return of the full set of documents in usable condition within fourteen days after award of the project. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM, beginning at the Scott County Courthouse Main Entrance, 400 W 4th Street. The project architect will be on-site for this meeting, and it is the only opportunity for contractors to enter the building prior to bid opening. Bids must be submitted as single prime sealed bids along with a 10% bidder's bond to the Scott County Administration Center, 600 West 4th St, 6th Floor Reception, Davenport, IA 52801. Scott County does not conduct business with debarred vendors, and all vendors will be verified on Sam.gov. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond. The project requires substantial completion by November 6, 2026.
