Purchase of Quint Fire Engine SLR 75

The City of Elkhart Board of Public Works is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of a Quint Fire Engine SLR 75. Bids are due by 9:00 AM EDT on May 18, 2026, and will be opened at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works held at the same time and date in the Council Chambers of Elkhart City Hall. The minimum offering price for the fire engine is $600,000. The offeror will be responsible for all costs associated with the transfer of the Quint Fire Engine. Offer forms, the offering sheet, and other pertinent information can be obtained from the Elkhart Fire Department for a non-refundable cost of $5.00 per copy. The Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to award the contract to the best responsive and responsible offeror, considering the proposed purchase price and the offeror's ability to secure funding. The Board also reserves the right to waive any non-mandatory formalities.
