Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather updated information regarding mission operations center (MOC) and operations capabilities for the Landsat 10 (L10) project. Significant changes in the mission architecture, including a revised approach to a single observatory with a targeted launch in late 2031, necessitate this re-engagement with industry. The USGS is seeking cost-effective solutions for MOC development, operations readiness, and long-term operations, with a preference for approaches leveraging mature technologies such as cloud hosting and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to streamline staffing and minimize costs while maintaining mission health and safety. A consolidated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document has been released to aid in the development of questions and/or responses to this RFI.
