This project involves the design and installation of fire protection and life safety systems for two historic duplex residential buildings, Quarters 70A/70B and Quarters 71A/71B, at Hot Springs National Park. These buildings, constructed in the 1930s, are to be restored to their original residential use as temporary National Park Service employee housing. The scope of work includes the installation of single-station fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarms, an NFPA 13D wet-pipe automatic sprinkler system, and local alarm notification, all in accordance with applicable fire codes and NPS standards. Piping will be routed through existing HVAC chases with minimal penetrations, and the work is limited to the interior of the buildings. A passage opening between Quarters 71A and 71B kitchens will be infilled with a 1-hour rated wall assembly to restore the duplexes. The project magnitude is anticipated to be between $100,000 and $250,000, with performance beginning in Fall 2026. This is a 100% small business set-aside opportunity.
