Transportation Fleet Repairs, Maintenance, and Services

Humble Independent School District (HISD) is issuing a rolling Request for Proposals (RFP) for companies qualified to provide comprehensive fleet repairs, maintenance, and related services district-wide. This includes services such as preventative maintenance, tire and alignment, brake service, automotive air conditioning and electrical specialty services, general automotive repair, and towing. The RFP also covers body repair, painting, and floor replacement for various types of vehicles, including school buses, sedans, SUVs, vans, pickup trucks, utility trucks, box trucks, and refrigerated trucks. Services are to be performed on an as-needed basis throughout the contract term, which extends through June 12, 2029, with automatic annual renewals. Vendors must meet pre-determined criteria to become an Approved Vendor and be eligible to bid. This includes providing necessary documentation, complying with insurance requirements, and submitting all required forms. The district emphasizes that all services must be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and manufacturer warranty specifications, meeting OEM standards unless otherwise specified. The selection criteria will consider price, reputation, quality of services, ability to meet district needs, past relationship with the district, and long-term cost to the district, aiming to achieve the best value for the district.
