Howard Buford Recreation Area Arboretum Parking Lot Upgrade

Lane County, Oregon is soliciting bids for the Howard Buford Recreation Area Arboretum Parking Lot Upgrade project. The scope of work includes grading, drainage, paving, signing, illumination, and roadside development. This is a county project with an estimated cost range of $1 million to $2 million. Key pay items include approximately 1,200 feet of sediment fence, 900 feet of sediment barriers, 3,000 cubic yards of general excavation, 6,000 square yards of subgrade geotextile, 80 feet of 6-inch storm sewer, 5 ditch inlets, 140 square feet of retaining wall, 4,000 tons of aggregate base, 1,800 tons of asphalt concrete pavement (ACP), 1,200 feet of concrete curb, 1,900 square feet of concrete walk, 25 cubic yards of concrete stairs, 9,000 feet of pavement marking paint, 700 pounds of sign supports, 70 square feet of signage, light poles and foundations, and storm water ditch. Bids are due by 10:00 AM local time on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and will be received by Ryan Essler, P.E., Construction Services Program Manager. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled for this project. Lane County reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject any or all bids if it is deemed to be in the public interest.
