Gasoline and Diesel Fuel for Regional Transit System

The City of Gainesville is soliciting bids for the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel for its Regional Transit System (RTS). This contract is for a five-year term, commencing October 1, 2026, and concluding September 30, 2031. The scope of work includes providing 87 Octane Unleaded Gasoline and #2 Red Dyed Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel, meeting specified ASTM standards. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of experience in the fuel supply business, provide details on equipment and personnel, and attest to having an established fuel spill prevention plan. The contract will be awarded based on price, with fuel pricing determined by the OPIS Gross Contract Low price per gallon, plus transportation charges. Deliveries are to be made to the RTS facility at 34 SE 13th Road, Gainesville, FL 32601, during specified hours, and all applicable taxes will be added after the price per gallon is established. Addenda have been issued to clarify requirements regarding fuel spill prevention plans, and to address questions about pricing adjustments, payment terms, differential calculations, and the use of dyed diesel fuel.
