Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) requires comprehensive services for the replacement of a 5-Ton Electric Arc Furnace. This includes detailed design engineering, specification development, project management, equipment installation, concrete work, construction services, equipment commissioning, and training. The contract also involves the procurement of one 5-Ton Electric Arc Furnace, with an option for a second, along with necessary supporting equipment such as a baghouse dust collection system, compressed air and argon storage tanks, and a 5-ton AOD system. Additionally, the scope of work includes the demolition and removal of the existing 5-Ton Arc furnace. All work must adhere to relevant industry and national standards. The solicitation specifies requirements for equipment design, safety, security, environmental compliance, and information technology systems. Training for operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors is also a key component of the requirement. The site visit is scheduled for May 8, 2026, at 8:00 am.
