Employee Health Insurance

Burnet County is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), employee benefits consultants, and/or brokers for the provision of employee health insurance for county employees and eligible dependents. The County seeks proposals that offer competitive pricing, comprehensive coverage, strong provider networks, administrative efficiency, compliance support, and excellent customer service. This RFP is being issued to explore the County's options, and there may not be a contract following submittals and review. The scope of services includes Medical Insurance (fully insured and/or self-funded options, PPO, HDHP, HAS-compatible plans, prescription drug coverage, preventative care, telehealth services, wellness programs, disease management, Employee Assistance Program), Dental Insurance (preventive, basic and major services, orthodontics), and Vision Insurance (exams, lenses/frames, contact lens allowance). Administrative services such as enrollment support, COBRA administration, ACA compliance support, HIPAA compliance, claims reporting, renewal strategy, and employee education and enrollment meetings are also sought.
