Kennett Road Landfill Redevelopment Project

The City of Pontiac is soliciting proposals from qualified developers for the purchase and redevelopment of the Kennett Road Landfill property, a 73.405-acre site located east of Telegraph Road and north of W. Kennett Road. The site is currently zoned R-1 (single-family dwelling). The City aims to encourage responsible redevelopment that aligns with its community vision, regulatory framework, and economic development goals. Proposals should demonstrate the developer's qualifications, financial capacity, and experience with similarly scaled projects, outlining a clear vision for the property's future use. The City is open to subdividing the land and will consider proposals for the entire parcel or parts thereof. Proposals will be evaluated based on responsiveness, experience, understanding of City objectives, methodology, community benefits, and purchase price. A shortlist may be invited for interviews, and the selected developer must provide an earnest money deposit equal to 20% of the purchase price.
