Medical Bulk Laundry Services for Fort Knox

This solicitation is for medical bulk laundry services to support the Ireland Army Health Clinic at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, management support, transportation for pick-up and delivery, equipment, and materials, including contractor-furnished textiles. Services must adhere to current Joint Commission healthcare linen standards and any other cited regulations or specifications. The scope of work includes the processing of both government-owned and contractor-owned textiles. Government-owned items include various types of linens such as thermal blankets, gowns, pillowcases, scrubs, sheets, and towels. Contractor-owned items include reusable laundry bags, blankets, gowns, pillowcases, scrubs, and sheets. Specific construction requirements for textiles are detailed, including standards for liquid barrier performance, breathability, and durability, as well as material composition (e.g., cotton, cotton blends, SMS fabric). Pick-up and delivery services will be scheduled once per week, either on Tuesday or Thursday, as determined by the COR and the Contractor upon award. The contract includes a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) program.
