Produce Vendor Services for Adams 12 Five Star Schools

Adams 12 Five Star School District is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a designated Produce Vendor for its Nutrition Services Department. The district aims to expand its offerings of local and seasonal produce, educating students on the importance of healthy eating. The vendor will be responsible for providing competitive pricing, exceptional on-time delivery, quality produce, and compliant handling of all products. The scope of work includes detailed requirements for pricing, vendor warehouse operations, delivery schedules to multiple school sites and a future central warehouse, vehicle specifications, and communication protocols. Vendors must provide an intuitive ordering interface, potentially integrating with the DoD's FFAVORS system. The district anticipates purchasing approximately $1,000,000 of fresh produce annually, with a significant portion ($600,000) through the DoD program and $400,000 commercially.
