Design, Creation, and Placement of a Mural at Banneker Elementary School

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) is soliciting proposals from artists for the design, creation, and placement of a mural on the exterior gym wall of Banneker Elementary School. The theme for the mural is "The Heart and Soul of St. Louis" and the concept of "It Takes a Village," reflecting the historical significance of St. Louis, one of the first African American townships in Loudoun County. The mural will be located on a wall measuring 66 feet long and 16 feet high and must be protected against UV radiation, sun exposure, and graffiti. LCPS is encouraging submissions from emerging artists and artist teams.
